We are passionate about property styling and want our clients to get the best from their properties, whether that’s creating a warm and relaxing home, or maximising presentation to achieve the best sale.

We offer a range of services which can be tailored to your needs, from property presentation services to colour consultations, sourcing and shopping, accessorising, styling, furniture hire, photography and party styling. So if you’re short of time, inclination or know-how, we can take care of it for you.

What areas do you cover?

As a rough guide we provide interior styling services in East Berkshire, including but not limited to Pangbourne, Reading, Wokingham, Bracknell, Ascot, Sunningdale, Maidenhead, Slough, Windsor, etc.

We even venture onto the borders of Buckinghamshire to cover Beaconsfield, Surrey to cover Camberley and Egham, and Oxfordshire to cover Henley -on-Thames.

We will always consider property styling projects a little outside of the area so please do not hesitate to ask if we cover your location.

What is the difference between property styling, home staging and interior design?

There is often confusion between these terms. Property styling involves transforming the interior of a property on a more limited budget than traditional interior design. A property stylist does not spend large amounts of money on expensive designer furnishings, but instead is clever with the client’s budget and stretches it as far as possible. A property stylist will employ many techniques and tricks of the trade to achieve a more expensive look for less.

Home staging involves working with property sellers and landlords to ensure that they maximise the presentation of their properties to appeal to their target market of potential buyers and tenants in order to sell or let quickly and at the best price.

What level of service can I expect?

Chez-Vous HomeStyle is dedicated to providing a professional level of service and communication. We are trained in property styling and interior design and all our work is carried out to a very high standard. Developing a good rapport and working relationship with our clients is a crucial part of how we work.

How much do your services cost?

Fees vary according to the service required but our professional property styling services start from £30 per hour – some services are priced per hour, and others will be charged based on individual requirements. In the case of the latter a full estimate will be provided.

Is the initial consultation appointment free?

No, where an initial consultation is required or appropriate we do make a charge for this at an appropriate service fee.

However, if following the inital consultation appointment, you engage us to carry out the work or to project manage services, then we will deduct the cost of the initial appointment from the final invoice.

We charge for our appointments because we use time and expertise to deliver them and we believe these have value.

How long does it take?

Again it varies according to the service you require. Some services such as a colour consultation for one room may last an hour. Whereas a complete home styling project may take between 1 and 4 weeks.

What skills and experience does Chez-Vous HomeStyle have?

In addition to several years of property styling experience, Jayne Leighton Herd trained with Anne Maurice (the House Doctor) and studied interior design. Jayne is also a professional artist and as well as innate artistic flair, she has a natural instinct for colour and an extremely high level of attention to detail.

How does payment work?

We will provide full details of payment requirements and cancellation policy when appointments are booked.

Depending on the service required, Chez-Vous HomeStyle may require payment or a deposit in advance, prior to commencement of the work. For example: to cover the full cost of any goods or materials to be used.

Domestic clients will be asked to settle any outstanding balances in full on completion of the work.

Commercial clients will be invoiced.

How can I pay?

We accept payment by cheque or electronic bank transfer.
Unfortunately, we are unable to accept credit cards at present.

What is your cancellation policy?

No charge will be made for appointments that are cancelled with more than 48 hours notice.
A 25% cancellation fee will apply where less than 48 hours notice is given.
A 50% cancellation fee will apply where less than 24 hours notice is given.
100% of the fee will apply where appointments are cancelled with less than 3 hours notice.

Do you carry out work in offices and commercial premises?

We do not undertake commercial interior design projects, for example with commercial office blocks.

We do, however, work with small independent hotels, guest houses and B&Bs to help them achieve the right look for their target market.

We also provide showhome styling services for property developers and we work with estate agents and their clients to ensure that properties meet buyer expectations and achieve a faster sale.

Do you have insurance?

Yes, we have £1m of public liability insurance.

Chez-Vous HomeStyle is a member of the Home Staging Consultant’s Network and adheres to their strict code of conduct, and is also a member of the Federation of Small Businesses.
